Intec Controls Inc. was founded in 1994 by the Swejda family who managed and operated the company out of their home office in Delisle, Saskatchewan. Gene Swejda was an instrumentation foreman in the mining industry with an entrepreneurial spirit who noticed a market that lacked local instrumentation product representatives. With a little more than a dream and passion for instrumentation, Gene & Linda Swejda founded Intec Controls. Subsequently, Mike Swejda, with a background in industrial applications, joined his parents to operate and manage Intec Controls.

What they do:

Twenty-five years later, Intec Controls is best known for their expertise and customer service in process instrumentation, automation, and industrial controls products. Intec Controls provides more than products; their strive to develop an understanding of customers’ applications, their strong supplier partnerships, and their local presence allowed them to offer service that is second to none.

Intec has been partnering with Siemens Instrumentation for almost 20 years, Siemens Automation & Controls for 5 years, and Rittal for 10 years.

Joining E.B. Horsman & Son:

On January 1st, 2018, Intec Controls joined E.B. Horsman & Son to offer their customers a broader portfolio of products and services for all their application needs. In addition to Intec’s customer service and technical expertise, the Saskatchewan market will now also receive E.B. Horsman & Son’s full line electrical distribution business, specialty divisions, and extensive supplier network.

“Strategically this is a great fit, not only from a product standpoint, but more importantly from a cultural and people perspective. This acquisition will further strengthen our capabilities in providing the exceptional customer service we are known for in Saskatchewan” said Intec Controls President Mike Swejda.
