Customer Service
With more than 120 years of experience as a Canadian electrical wholesale distributor and supplier, we’re a trusted name in the industry. Over the years, we’ve invested time and resources into making our operation as efficient, consistent, and supportive as possible.
Our centralized purchasing team buys products for our branches and brings most inventory into our ISO 9001-certified Central Distribution Centre to ensure you get the right products, when you need them. We use a wireless, paperless warehouse management software system to receive, barcode, shelve, count, select, and transfer more than 20,000 products. Our central distribution model ensures order fulfillment accuracy, allowing us to ship most of our products overnight.
We tailor our inventory from branch to branch to ensure you have access to the right electrical supplies for your community. Our 22 locations share inventory of our 20,000 products, and can transfer most products overnight. This ensures that you get what you need, when you need it.
Having an efficient logistics plan is essential for electrical distributors. Our extensive network of freight carriers serves communities across B.C., Alberta, and Saskatchewan. Where possible, our freight and logistics services are tailored to the local markets, using local carriers to service the cities, regions and communities in which we are located.
We help communities thrive through operational excellence by providing the best people, the best solutions, and the best service in the electrical industry. Our quality-control system was officially recognized in 2015 as meeting the requirements of ISO 9001 – the international standard for quality assurance. This registration includes our Head Office, Distribution Centre, Surrey Sales Branch, Data Communications Division, Process Automation Controls (PAC) Division, Major Projects Division, and Automation, Industrial Controls, and Motion. ISO standards help us improve our internal processes and demonstrate our commitment to being your electrical distributor of choice.
At EB Horsman & Son, we are dedicated to maintaining ethical standards in our supply chains. In compliance with the requirements of Bill S-211, “Fighting Against Forced Labour and Child Labour in Supply Chains Act,” we have submitted our Annual Report to the Government of Canada. The report, fulfilling our obligations under the Act, is also available on our website here.
We’re committed to serving customers and supplier partners, and protecting staff and assets, including during emergencies.
Our Business Continuity Disaster Recovery Plan evaluates the impact of significant events that might adversely affect customers, suppliers, employees or assets during a crisis or major business interruption. This includes an IT, operation or regional disruption, complications from a building disturbance or pandemic incident, and more.
We’ve developed multiple work-area recovery strategies to provide support for work displacement, alternate physical facilities and remote access.
Our Business Continuity Committee maintains the plan, which was developed to provide strategies for all locations. We review the plan quarterly and update it as necessary.
We are dedicated to preserving your privacy and protecting our data. Our secure IT infrastructure closely guards our data, and we won’t release your name or email address to other parties unless we have your consent.
