Our Saskatoon branch is renowned for delivering exceptional service, recognized as the “Best Counter Customer Service in Saskatoon” among our customers. We recently had the opportunity to chat with EB Horsman’s Saskatoon branch to learn more about what sets them apart and earned this accolade. During our conversation, we uncovered the unique qualities of the Saskatoon branch and its integral role within the local community.
Can you tell us about the Saskatoon Branch and what makes it stand out?
The Saskatoon branch stands out with its highly experienced staff, boasting decades of combined expertise in various areas of our business, especially in Projects, Lighting, and PAC. Our strong counter service has earned us accolades as the “Best Counter Customer Service in Saskatoon!” A significant differentiator is our specialization in PAC, thanks to the employees who joined us with the acquisition of Intec Controls in 2018. We consistently adhere to the EBH Core Values in everything we do at this branch.
Where is Your Branch Located, and Are There Any Landmarks or Points of Recognition Nearby?
Branch 45 is situated on Treaty 6 Territory, the traditional meeting grounds, gathering place, and travel route for the Cree, Saulteaux, Blackfoot, Métis, Dene, and Nakota Sioux. Our branch is conveniently located in the New North Industrial area of Saskatoon in an 8,500 sq. ft. facility with easy access and ample parking. We are just a few minutes west of Saskatoon’s newest bridge, the Chief Mistawasis Bridge. Watch the Chief Mistawasis Bridge video.
What are the primary industries or products that the Saskatoon branch serves?
Saskatchewan is known for its agricultural base, but it also holds 27% of Canada’s conventional oil reserves and approximately 25% of Canada’s tar sands. Additionally, the province has some of the highest-grade uranium deposits in the world and leads globally in potash deposits, mining, and exporting. Beyond natural resources, Saskatchewan boasts a strong scientific research base, with Canada’s first synchrotron test facility attracting global scientists and companies. The province is moving towards refining products locally, driving growth in industrial, commercial, and residential construction. While our core business has been in the PAC product portfolio, we are experiencing significant growth in commercial and residential products.
How Does Your Branch Prioritize and Ensure Customer Satisfaction?
Providing exceptional customer service starts with genuine communication and a keen understanding of our customers’ needs. By actively listening and responding promptly, we ensure their concerns are addressed with care and efficiency. Building strong relationships based on trust and empathy is key. Continuous feedback from customers helps us refine our approach, ensuring we consistently deliver the best possible service experience.
Are there any community initiatives or partnerships that your branch actively participates in?
The Saskatoon staff participate and volunteer their time with several different groups in Saskatoon and the surrounding area. We are involved with Jim Pattison’s Children’s Hospital, Make-A-Wish Foundation, Ronald McDonald House, Canadian Cancer Society, MS Society of Canada, and Truth & Reconciliation Day of Understanding.
Are There Any Special Events Hosted by Your Branch for the Local Community?
We host an annual Cinco De Mayo Customer Appreciation Event, which is a unique and well-loved event compared to the standard burger and BBQ gatherings. Our customers enjoy burritos, nachos, and Mexican refreshments, making it a standout event in the community.
Come visit our Saskatoon branch and see for yourself why we’re at the top in the Saskatoon region. Experience our friendly service and community-focused atmosphere firsthand, and discover what makes us unique. We look forward to welcoming you and demonstrating what sets us apart!
