AGM Kick Off 2024

Our AGM & FMS has returned, and this time, we’re celebrating uniqueness! We were pleased to have our E.B. Horsman staff and supplier partners together. This event is all about breaking barriers, supporting each other, and creating new opportunities. Choosing to Be Different isn’t just about building the future; it’s about creating something truly extraordinary. Let’s embrace our differences and show that they make us stronger!

We covered a lot of ground at the event, diving into different aspects of our business like eCommerce, Finance, Sales, IT, HR, and Marketing. It was a fantastic opportunity to connect with our teams across Western Canada, sharing best practices and lessons learned from the past year. With our EBH family growing, we’re pumped for what’s to come and eager to keep growing and improving.

Big shoutout to all our branches, especially the Dawson Creek Branch, for snagging the Branch of the Year 2023 title! We’re incredibly proud of all our branches’ achievements, and this recognition speaks volumes about the hard work and dedication across our organization.

We celebrated International Women’s Day as we had the most women present at our AGM & FMS 2024 than ever before.

Divisional Rotations for a Unique Learning Experience

On Tuesday morning, we kicked off the day by delving into sales software, mental health insights, and hearing success stories from some of E.B. Horsman’s best. In the afternoon, teams prepared for divisional rotations, providing an opportunity for a more in-depth learning experience with each department. It was a chance to ask questions, gain valuable insights, and even grab some merch along the way.

Affiliated Distributors (AD) attended our Divisional Rotations and FMS. AD Canada was created to bring together four distinct Canadian AD divisions under one umbrella, with the goal of maximizing the growth and success of each division’s member and supplier partners. AD is uniquely positioned to help independents and suppliers across Canada grow and prosper in an age of increasing consolidation, globalization, and channel convergence.

E.B. Horsman Arcade

After the divisional rotations, the team prepared for a social night. This year’s venue featured an E.B. Horsman arcade with various games, a punching bag, a delightful donut wall, and a tempting selection of delicious foods! Staff could participate in polls, solve puzzles, and join photo contests through our app for a chance to win prizes. Additionally, we managed to raise $900 for the BC Children’s Hospital Foundation!

Field Marketing Summit

At the Field Marketing Summit (FMS), EBH staff had a chance to explore and connect with over 50 supplier partners at their dedicated booths. Teams gained insights into the features, benefits, and upcoming trends of hundreds of supplier products, including new releases set for 2024. To add a fun twist, the EBH team embarked on a scavenger hunt to visit each booth, with the top three staff members receiving prizes for their active engagement. The event app provided a platform for seamless interaction and communication between our staff and suppliers throughout the summit! On the evening of the FMS, we had our Supplier Appreciation Dinner, where we announced the E.B. Horsman & Son Supplier of the Year 2023 – Leviton!
